101 years ago there happened the October Revolution in Russia. One may like it or not, but it influenced greatly not only the life of the country but the whole world history.
It’s important that the places directly related to the revolution are still taken care of in St. Petersburg! One of them is the cruiser Aurora that you may see closer during the driving tour. A shot from this, now legendary, cruiser, served as the signal for the followers of Bolshevism to assault on the Winter Palace (today it’s mostly known as the Hermitage) where there wasn’t the zar, but the Provisional Government instead. Since then the events of that night are known as the October Revolution. If you ask your guide during the Hermitage tour (that may be included in the walking tour), you may enter the exact room, where the revolution happened.
Don’t be shy, put the questions and ask your guide to show the places where you certainly want to go!
