Tour Itinerary

  1. Hotel Pick-up

    Our guide will come to your hotel (lobby area) or any other indicated address to begin the tour from there. If you stay outside the center area, we will take the metro with you (tickets are included).

  2. Yusupov Palace

    Do not let this austere classical façade fool you! This building is a true mystery box: it contains much more inside than one could imagine when looking at it from the outside. The countless number of rooms, galleries, halls will astonish you; the lavish interiors will absolutely win your heart; the rich history of the Palace will leave you speechless.

  3. Historic Showrooms

    The Palace starts its history shortly after the foundation of St.Petersburg and in 1830 becomes a nest of Yusupov family who enlarge, upgrade and decorate the Palace for the next 5 generations till the Revolution of the 1917. With its owners being one of the richest families in Russian Empire the Palace houses countless luxury parties and splendid balls for the high society of St.Petersburg and becomes the center of aristocratic and cultural life of the city.

  4. The Prince’s Living Quarters

    We will continue with an exclusive visit of the private quarters of Yusupov’s family. Get a unique insight into the atmosphere of aristocratic lifestyle of one of the richest families of Russia over than 150 years ago! You will visit gorgeous Porcelain and Persian boudoirs and private rooms of Zinaida Yusupova, one of the leading figures of Russian society. The Study of the Prince, the Henry II living room and breath-taking Arabesque living room are as well of the utmost interest for the history and antique-fanciers.

  5. Rasputin’s Assassination

    One of the most vivid pages of the Palace’s history is undoubtedly the assassination of the legendary Grigory Rasputin. The impact of Rasputin’s life and, equally, his death on Russian history can not be underestimated. A mysterious figure, loved by ones and feared by the others, Rasputin was assassinated in the quarters of Felix Yusupov in December 1916.
